Thanks for all of you guys who could make it out to the Pumpkin Carve last weekend.
We had a great turn out, great contests and gave away some pretty sweet prizes!
Here’s some photos from the day:

Ted Aslund won a Sector 9 deck for first place in the ground tricks competition!

Many thanks to Paul (directly above..mustache and all) who owns Salty’s in Five Points for playing a huge role in getting the Pumpkin Carve together, helping provide some prizes and throwing us an after party! A very successful event and you can definitely expect another one in the spring.
Here’s a montage video from the beginners and advanced slide competitions:

let's be honest.
So on friday the Carolina Longboard Club of the University of
South Carolina had our first meeting and needless to say it was a success.
At first we were a little skeptical, there only being about 3 or 4 of us
but as the day went on we were anywhere from 5 to about 13 boarders.
We accomplished the 3 person hamboard ride, a couple legit wipe outs,
getting hassled by the cops, and bombing some nice hills rolling 10+ deep.
We also caused quite the scene wherever we were which I’m sure will have
people talking.
Here’s a few more pictures from the day:

they look like sweethearts but this was after they closed the elevator door on me.

making a few adjustments to the hamboard.

this is harder than it looks.

IS THAT A CHICK ON A SKATEBOARD?

cale bombing wheat street.

some of the us waiting before climbing the hill again.

traffic moved for us.
Though the school year is closing out we’ve got no plans of slowing down. As for
now we’re spreading the word and encouraging people who’ve been skating for years
or people who’ve always had an interest but never had the chance to come out and play around.
Keep your eyes out for another update hopefully with more photos or
maybe a video…until then keep kickin’ and pushin’
